Easter Challenge at ABC Challenges

This week's challenge at ABC Challenges is Easter cards.  You can use any Easter themes - religious, spring flowers, bunnies, eggs etc.

For my card I chose Hero Arts poppies stamps coloured with Spectrum Noirs.  I don't have an Easter sentiment and my PC is misbehaving so I couldn't print one.  I wrote the sentiment with a Spectrum Noir pen, using the same pen to colour the edges of the card.

Hope to see your Easter cards at ABC Challenges!

One for P J

Bright and very cold here! Today's card was made with Papermania papers and decoupage and some brads and twine from stash.

I really need to lay off the Mother's Day chocolates.  I stood on the scales yesterday and I'm still in shock.  Salads on the menus this week! Ger x

Spring is in the Air at ABC Challenges!

The challenge this week at ABC Challenges is Spring is in the Air so we want to see anything 'in the air' - birds, butterflies, clouds, bees, planes, kites etc.

I used a Memory Box corner die on some dark pink card, a Creative Expressions stamp, Memory Box butterfly and Spellbinders Labels 22. The sentiment is computer made and the flowers and pearls are from The Ribbon Girl.

ABC Challenges has a new Facebook Favourite! Every Sunday evening, after the challenge linky closes, one of the Design Team members will pick their favourite to put on Facebook.

I hope you will join us this week at ABC Challenges.

Two Cards

Morning and Happy Mother's Day to all!

Here is last night's card from the Hero Arts 90 Minute Scramble.  The challenge was Embossing, so I silver embossed HA Leafy Vines onto pink card and used a Waltzingmouse Label Stamp in pink, cut with Labels 18.  The sentiment is Hero Arts.

Lots of fun, and I was lucky enough to win the randomly drawn prize!

My second card was made for someone who wanted a pig on a Mother's Day card:

Papermania Honey & Hugs papers and decoupage, computer made sentiment and some Papermania ribbon.

I hope you all enjoy a relaxing day, wherever you are. Ger x

Skater Boy

Morning! Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

It was almost time to clear the table and start dinner so there wasn't much time for the finer points of shading and highlighting, or even staying in the lines I now see LOL!  The image was fussy cut and layered onto a frame made using Spellbinders rectangle dies.  The papers and letters are from Papermania's new Gorjuss range, the sentiment is computer made and I just love using that film strip Washi.  I can't remember where I bought that digi stamp - does anyone recognise it?

Last minute

The cobbler's children have no shoes, so the saying goes.  Well, this cardmaker's daughter very nearly had no card for her 18th.  My neighbour came to the rescue with some Hunkydory kit and 15 minutes, a score board and tape runner later, the day was saved.

Hope you're all having a lovely Thursday! Ger x

Another Birthday

Good morning! The familiar old rain is back, ugh. Baby Boy

Lovely and sunny here, hope it's sunny where you are.  Today's card is for a new baby. I used a card blank from a pack bought in Glasgow - Miller's Art Shop.  The gingham paper was a free printable and the other blue paper from a Simon Says Stamp card kit.  Bow, buttons, gems and lace from stash, the cute little charm is from The Ribbon Girl.  The name was made in Word and cut with a Spellbinders die.

Thanks for visiting! Ger x

New Challenge at Crafty Bloggers Network

Morning! I think we've all had enough of winter now and we're ready for this month's challenge at Crafty Bloggers Network - Spring or Pastel.

We have two fabulous sponsors this month, the first is Just Some Lines with their cute and whimsical digi stamps who are giving a prize of £10 to spend in their digi shop.  I've used one of their images, Emo - Hello World, in my card.

The second sponsor is Petal Lu who make such pretty little flowers!  I've used some of them in my card.

"Hello, my name is Lucinda Lucker and I am the owner of Petal Lu, I am a wife to John and mum to Sebastian, Josephine and Benjamin and together we run our village Pub/Resturant, in Bristol.
I have crafted since I was a child, mainly sewing, tapestry and knitting. I started paper crafting 7 years ago and my flowers hit the market mid 2012 since then they have gone from strength to strength, releasing new colours and constantly working on new designs.
All the flowers you see, are hand made by myself and I love every minute of making them. "

Here is the prize Lucinda is offering:
