Something Glittery at Craft for the Craic

Time for a new challenge at Craft for the Craic and this month we want to see Something Glittery - all types of craft are welcome at Craft for the Craic.

I started by sponging some Tumbled Glass distress ink onto a piece of card before using Simon Says Stamp Falling Stars stencil and some Wendy Vecchi embossing paste, sprinkled with fine glitter while still wet.  When the paste was dry I die cut with Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments.  I had to use two layers of fun foam to get enough depth for the shaker stuff to be able to shake, before adding acetate and sticking the whole lot to the card base.  I used the Spellbinders dies to cut a frame for the shaker window and a Tim Holtz die cut word from silver mirri card.  Feeling quite festive now!

Let's see the Something Glittery projects you've created - share it with us over at Craft for the Craic.

So Glossy at Simon Says Stamp

Over at Simon Says Stamp Monday the challenge is So Glossy and as my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool arrived from Create With Kate I decided to use it to make a card.

I don't do Project Life but I do like the look of the pages with everything in its own pocket, so I wanted to make a project life style card.  I cut down an A4 plastic pocket and started fusing patterned paper (Trimcraft Deck the Halls) into sections, then added some sequins into their own section for shaking! A die cut Tim Holtz word also got its own pocket.  The card base was cut off at the front just leaving a centimetre or two to attach the plastic to.  I knew the plastic wasn't strong enough on its own to stand the front of the card up, so I backed it with a piece of acetate to keep the front of the card clear.  The pretty green ribbon is also from Create with Kate.

Brithday Flowers

It's a beautiful Sunday morning here, lovely autumn sunshine!

I used a stencil and Pumice Stone ink in the corner of this card but decided the grey was not what I wanted so went over it with Bundled Sage.  The flowers (Tim Holtz) were scribbled with a Papermania marker before spritzing with Perfect Pearls and water, then stamping.  The lovely shimmer is not captured by the camera.  The sentiment is Hero Arts and the sequins are from Simon Says Stamp.

Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for visiting.
