Mother's Day at ABC Challenges


The challenge this week at ABC Challenges is Mother's Day Cards.

I had a little inspiration for this card - I had a look through the Waltzingmouse Stamps CASE competition cards and I just loved the soft feel of this card by Meredith MacRitchie, especially the soft orange.


I started by stamping a houndstooth background with Hero Arts Soft sand, then used a Waltzingmouse Stamps stamp with Hero Arts Poppy ink.  A Spellbinders edge die was used to cut one side of the card and faux silk ribbon and pearl embellishments from The Ribbon Girl finished off the card, together with a computer made sentiment.

    This is gorgeous!! You know what's interesting - I have a card I made for a DT assigment in a couple of weeks that used the apple blossom set and it looks SO much like this one - so you almost Cased me twice! hahaha.... I am so flattered that you were inspired by my card, and I LOVE what you came up with!
