Mens Cards

Sorry about the poor quality photo.  I had to make this in a hurry this evening so couldn't take a picture in daylight.

I used a Tim Holtz mask and Iced Spruce DI, Sizzix Gadget Gears die also inked with Iced Spruce and clear embossed, Tim Holtz Vintage Market alpha die and the gorgous new Waltzingmouse Stamps Heirloom Patterns stamp in Houndstooth check.  I always find men's cards tricky and left this card till the last possible moment which means rushing!

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Morning all!  I wanted to try a card using my dies because I don't think I'm making enough use of them.  The Papertake Weekly Challenge is Black and White and Red all over so that's the theme I've used. I had a wee go at ribbon ruffling too - tricky!

Dies: Spellbinders for the borders and centre die cut, Sizzix 3-D flowers, Nellie Snellen's Multi Frames for the scalloped square.
Papers: Bo Bunny Enchanted
Sentiment: Creative Expressions, white embossed
Distress Ink: Iced Spruce
White Enamel Accents, Ribbon, Pearls.

I'd like to enter this into:

Pink Birthday

Hi all, it's cold here but at least the sun is out! I wanted to use my new Papermania Capsule Collection papers and the stamps I got last week from Ladybug Crafts Ink. Lovely to colour - I used watercolour pencils.  The sentiment is also Ladybug Crafts and I made a label for it by biting out the corners of a rectangle with my 1" circle punch.  I used a leaf punch and Sizzix 3-D flower die for the flowers, and some Doodlebug ribbon.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Stamp and Emboss

Love the new Hero Arts/Sizzix Stamp and Embossing Folder sets.

I inked the stamp with Evergreen Bough distress ink, wiped the ink away from the berries and coloured those with Festive Berries distress ink, then stamped and ran the card through the embossing folder, distressing the edges afterwards with Evergreen Bough. The sentiment is from Papermania.  Fast and easy Christmas card!

Here are some variations - the first one involved inking the embossing folder first with Hero Arts Soft Sand, the second with Soft Pool.
