Wedding Card

Here's another wedding card I made last night.  The banner, sentiment and heart are all from the Simon Says Stamp June card kit.  I added Glossy Accents to the heart for a bit of shine.  The papers are Echo Park Victoria Garden and the trim and bling are Prima, the bow is seam binding.  The poppy stamp is Hero Arts, silver embossed and coloured with Distress Inks.

Then I stamped the envelope to match with silver ink:

Hero Arts Scramble

Update: I was THRILLED to be in the top 5 at A Blog Named Hero Colour Challenge with this card and to earn this badge:

Hero Arts 90 minute scrambles are always mad craic but today's was the craziest for me.  I arrived home 15 minutes into the scramble, read the challenge, then had to start dinner while thinking about what I would do.

One of the options was emboss resist so of course my new Hero Arts Lattice stamp had to be inked up with Versamark and white embossed in between flinging vegetables and chicken into olive oil!

This was followed by Distress Stains in Peeled Paint, Wild Honey, Broken China and Fired Brick.  This was fun, like magic painting!  Time was running out .... the nearest sentiment to hand was from the Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit so that was stamped together with a heart from the same set and a pin from Creative Expressions added.  Frantic uploading followed!  These scrambles are great fun, check out this thread at the Hero Arts Flicker Group to find out when the next one is happening.

June Card Kit

You have to feel sorry for all the June brides in this weather!

Made this wedding card using only the stuff in the  June Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp.  I only had to add ink and embossing powder. There were two stamp sets this time, one a lovely Prima set and the other sentiments in beautiful fonts.  I white embossed the sentiment then white embossed one of the hearts, the other was stamped in pink and covered with the stickles in the set, these stickles are now my favourite because of the lovely shimmer - Star Dust.  I die cut the paper and cardstock with Spellbinders Labels 18.

May Card Kit

Morning! A week or two ago I subscribed to the Simon Says Stamp monthly card kits and  May and June arrived together :).  This card was made using stuff from May's kit plus a tiny piece of the black and white twine from June's kit because it matched the ribbon.  I also added Hero Arts Lattice stamped with Ranger Archival in Veridian which matches the papers very nicely.

9th birthday

Just about managed to snap a photo of this before my youngest boy ran off to a party!

Hero Arts Cloud Stamp background
Circles punched from Crate Paper Toy Box 6 x 6 pack
Letters stamped with Personal Impressions alphabet set, coloured with Promarkers and covered in Glossy Accents for shine.

Should have cut the basket of the hot air balloon out of a different colour paper because it's lost against that paper but there wasn't time to change it!

Mini Book - favourite page

Still having fun with my mini book.  This is my favourite page of the book and I think a huge part of the fun of these books is clever page construction and finding pages that open in different ways to reveal little tabs and surprises.

Tim Holtz Crowded Attic papers, Martha Stewart edge punch, Tim Holtz trim dyed with Evergreen Bough distress ink, Tim Holtz on the edge Butterflies die, seam binding also dyed lightly with Evergreen Bough, Prima tab and flowers, pearl.

Exam Stress

My daughter and her friend are starting their Leaving Cert exam on Wednesday.  Here's the first card.

Paper: Tim Holtz Crowded Attic
Sentiment: Computer Generated
Flourish: Hero Arts/Sizzix Stamp and Die set - Floral
Ranger Archival Ink: Plum
Prima Flowers
Button, twine

The card wanted to roll over because of the embellishments on one side so I had to cut a straight(ish) line across the bottom.

Stick Pins

Morning! I never did get around to showing you the two projects I made for Issue 8 of Crafting Ireland magazine so here they are.  The first one was a Stick Pin tutorial and for the completed card I used Echo Park Victoria Gardens papers, Sizzix 3-d flower die, a little distressing with Shabby Shutters and some seam binding.

The other project was a quick gift bag tutorial.  The paper is from Papermania.

The tutorials can be found here, and the latest issue of Crafting Ireland is here.

Tim Holtz mini bag

Kate Walsh demo'd the Tim Holtz In the Bag die on Saturday and this was my creation LOL.  The paper is Graphic 45 I think, heart cut with a Tim Holtz die and I added a couple of Prima flowers, a button and some stickles. The ribbon was coloured with a Promarker because I only brought 4 Distress Inks with me and none of them were the shade I wanted.  The hardest bit about going out of the house to craft is deciding what to leave behind!

I have to do a 21st card so hopefully I'll be back later to share.
