90 minute scramble

Things have been busy and I never did get around to showing you this card, made for a Hero Arts 90 minute scramble a couple of weeks ago.  The challenge was a lot of fun - there had to be heavenly bodies (I used clouds), no green ink, music or a song (I chose Happy Birthday) and a couple of other rules that I can't remember now.

The stamps and dies are all Hero Arts, the paper is My Mind's Eye I think, and I just love that film strip Washi.

Sunny today again! Empty wash baskets! So lovely.  Hope it's sunny where you are.

Vintage Hero Arts

I grabbed some under-used Hero Arts stamps and decided to give them some ink!  I used Hero Arts inks, Distress Inks, Hero Arts lace ribbon, a home-made stick pin and some gems and a charm from The Ribbon Girl.  I had a lot of fun distressing edges with scissors and inking.

I'd like to enter this into:

Anything Goes Challenge Blog No. 93 - handmade background
Timeless Tuesday # 221 - Butterflies
Inky Chicks # 4 - Blue and Brown
Inky Impressions # 109 - Distress It
The Perfect Sentiment: Anything Goes

Thanks for visiting! Ger x

Stamp a Background challenge at ABC Challenges

The challenge this week at ABC Challenges is to create a card with a stamped background.

I started by sponging Neenah Solar White card with Broken China and Shabby Shutters before misting with water to blend.  Then I stamped Hero Arts Lattice Background in Broken China and silver embossed Hero Arts Delicate Leaf Clusters.  The sentiment is computer made, the frame is Waltzingmouse Stamps Vintage Labels 18 which matches Spellbinders Labels 18.

I hope we see your stamped background cards at ABC Challenges this week.

Midway Inspiration at Crafty Bloggers Network

We are half way through our challenge at Crafty Bloggers Network and it's time for some midway inspiration from the Design Team.

Our sponsors this month are Milk Coffee and this time I chose the Swirly Bird image, coloured with Spectrum Noirs to match the lovely digital papers from Two Peas in a Bucket - Vinnie Pearce Teal Ambition.

Looking forward to seeing your cards at Crafty Bloggers Network this month, and I'll be back later with another card.

Wedding and Anniversary Cards at ABC Challenges

The challenge this week at ABC Challenges is to create a Wedding or Anniversary card.

I chose this cute image from Tiddlyinks - You and Me - to make a wedding card and I coloured it with Copics and Spectrum Noirs.  I die cut pink and kraft card, and some pink papers, before matting onto kraft, then pink card.  The bling, flowers and button twine are from The Ribbon Girl.

Hope we will see your cards over at ABC Challenges

For my card, I chose Ribbon, Stamp and Bling:

I just loved colouring this image which is called Tiffany Fairy.  I used Spectrum Noirs, Promarkers and Copics, and used a glue pen and Hunkydory glitter to give her wings some shimmer.
